The next morning Rosabella woke with a pep in her step. Her cat came home and she was about to meet her neighbor. She made her grandma's sugar cookies. When her grandmother was still around she used to come over every weekend and bake with her. Baking is still one of her favorite things to do. Though as she walked up the steps to his front porch she was met with a very unfriendly face.
She approached slowly not know how this was going to go see he didn't look too happy to see her.
"Hello, I'm Rosabella your new neighbor" she managed to whisper.
Through gritted teeth, he said "I know who you are and no offense but I don't like people. So what the hell are you doing on my porch?"
She gasped taken aback by his tone, she dropped her gaze to her feet and squeaked out " My mom always said to introduce yourself to your neighbors. So I stopped by with some Sugar cookies and to say hello. The least you could do is tell me your name."
Rosabella lifted her gaze and waited. " Jaxson" is all he said.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Jaxson..." is all she got out before he interrupted her.
"I told you my name now get off my porch. I don't like people and I really don't like you. Since now I have a stuck up little city girl living next door to me. Don't darken my doorstep again and do us all a favor here and go back to mommy and daddy little girl."
Rosabella balled her fists and yelled" HOW DARE YOU!! YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT ME JAXSON. YOU ARROGANT ASSHOLE." with that she turned on her heels, left the cookies on the porch and ran back home.
Jaxson just shook his head and watched as she ran with her tail between her legs back to her house. Maybe getting her to move would be easier than he thought. He picked up the plate of cookies and threw them in the trash. He would never take anything from her well expect her house. He was determined to own that land and live by himself now he just needs to ruffle her feathers some more and maybe she will up and leave.
As soon as she made it home she put on her jogging gear and leashed up Beast. She needed to clear her head. She was so angry to the point of tears. How dare he talk to her like that and make her feel like a little child. Yes, she was from the city but she was no primadonna. She made a mental note to stay the hell away from him. Maybe keeping to herself would be the best thing after all. After that encounter, she had no desire to go out and meet other people.
